Msc. Artificial Intelligence (cum laude)

University of St. Andrews

During this degree I focused on some ofthe more advanced theories of computer science such as machine learning (using sci-kit learn), data visualisation (using python and Tableau) and constraint programming learning (using Savile Row and Minion).

At the end of the degree, which I completed cum laude (First class honour), I wrote my dissertation with the title: “Automatic estimation of bacteria counts from microscopy images” which lead to the publication of an article at the AAAI 19 conference, and a second follow-up article currently being written.

During the research I collaborated with an interdisciplinary team consisting of computer science and medical experts. During this I had to facilitate critical and smooth communication of both theory and requirements between all parties. One example of this is that I implemented a desktop application to allow medical experts without specialized training to provide quality data to be used in the study.
